To keep your cat away from your furniture, you can try providing alternative scratching posts or pads for them to use. You can also use deterrents such as double-sided tape, aluminum foil, or citrus sprays on the furniture to discourage scratching. Additionally, make sure to provide plenty of toys and playtime to keep your cat mentally and physically stimulated, which can help reduce their desire to scratch furniture. Consistency and positive reinforcement when they use appropriate scratching surfaces can also help train them to avoid the furniture. **

Good old solid wood furniture is often thrown away in Germany due to changing trends and styles in home decor. As people update their homes with modern furniture, they may no longer have a use for their older, solid wood pieces. Additionally, some may not have the space to store or the desire to sell their old furniture, leading them to dispose of it. Furthermore, the cost and effort of repairing or refinishing old furniture may deter people from keeping and reusing it. **

One option is to use a citrus-based spray, as cats tend to dislike the smell of citrus. You can make your own by mixing water with a few drops of citrus essential oil and spraying it on the furniture. Another option is to use a commercial cat repellent spray that is specifically designed to deter cats from scratching or marking furniture. It's important to test any spray on a small, inconspicuous area of the furniture first to ensure it doesn't cause any damage. **

I'm sorry, I cannot provide information on the current status of the cat without more context. If you are looking for a lost pet, I recommend contacting local animal shelters and posting flyers in the area. If you are dealing with the loss of a pet, I offer my condolences and suggest seeking support from friends, family, or a professional counselor. **
